Elemental Interior Design is looking to welcome a new member to their team! If you are someone who is passionate about design done right, this is the place for you. We are primarily office designers, and are proud to create individualized environments that reflect each company's program, values and corporate culture.
If you are interested in modern office design, this position offers an opportunity for a designer to develop well rounded skills by working on various corporate/ commercial projects. We also provide design services for select projects, such as condos, restaurants, and healthcare facilities.
We provide full interior architecture services to our clients; from concept and design development, to working drawings for permit and construction, and finally to contract administration and successful project completion.
We would ideally like to hire an Interior Designer with three to five years of design experience. Once hired, your responsibilities may include:
Designing creative space plans that reflect the client's needs
Creating innovative design concepts, and developing the construction details
Generating renderings and graphic design for feature walls, windows, signage, etc.
Choosing finishes, lighting, furniture and preparing sample boards
Preparing permit drawings, construction drawings and contract documents
Participating in site meetings during the construction phase
Maintaining our samples library, including meeting with sales reps on a regular basis
We are in search for a positive and confident individual with the following skills and experience:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of Interior Design experience, preferably specializing in corporate office interiors or related discipline
Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture
Excellent AutoCAD skills with experience working on permit and construction drawings
Excellent in Sketch Up and Photoshop and/or Illustrator skills
Excellent at time management and multi-tasking
Understanding of the OBC
It would be a bonus if you also had skills such as:
Preparing documents for construction administration
Product knowledge of contract furniture, specification and selection
Excellent communication skills
Working knowledge in Revit
Having a BCIN would be an asset
