Client Interview: a meeting to learn about the client and their needs and to introduce our services

Feasibility Studies: a summary of the client's initial space requirements and adjacencies 

Space Allocation: a detailed list of space requirements based on client interviews 

Project Schedule: a critical path from start to completion of the project 

Preliminary Budget: an initial budget set for the proposed project   


DESIGN 

Schematic Design: Once information is gathered, we refine and synthesize all of our gained knowledge to develop a functional layout of the space and detailed interior concepts. Space planning, code requirements, and client presentation is shown to the client. 

Design Development: Once a schematic design has been realized, we begin formalizing conceptual ideas through sketches and scaled drawings. A concept design with sketches, plans and/ or samples. In addition, the final plans and layouts to scale are produced. 

Finishes and Materials Selection:  Elemental creates drawings, illustrations and narratives to generally illustrate the designer's suggested concepts including colour schemes, interior finishes, lighting treatments and window treatments. This can also include preliminary millwork details and sketches. 

Lighting:   Our services include selecting lighting fixtures to highlight your interior space and lighting plans to pinpoint the best location for lighting. 

Millwork and Cabinetry: We design custom cabinetry and millwork to complement the overall interior concept. 


PERMIT AND CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS

Define the construction set: Elemental prepares detailed construction drawings and documents for tendering. We review competitive quotes and assist you in evaluating the appropriate trades through the following strategies. A complete set includes a: demolition plan, partition plan, reflected ceiling plan, finish plan, millwork and interior elevations, data and electrical plan, and a furniture plan. 

Coordination with consultants and client: Elemental liases with the contractor, electrical and mechanical engineers, confirms the budget pricing with the contractor, and submits the completed package of working drawings and schedules to the client for approval. 


FURNITURE 

Inventory: We verify existing furniture and document individual pieces for reuse or storage. 

New furniture specifications: The preparation of furniture specifications and instructions to furniture suppliers relating to furniture purchases and furniture relocation. 

Prepare an itemized budget

Finishes: Specify all materials and finishes for new furniture selected

Purchasing: Coordinate all purchasing and final installation of furniture, furnishings and accessories. 


Contract Administration: Communicate with the client and/or his agent, on an ongoing basis to ensure that the design intent is executed as planned.

Weekly meetings: Attend weekly site meetings during the interior construction.

Meeting reports: Provide Site meeting reports during the construction phase. 

Provide move coordination

Deficiency review upon completion

Client support: Once the project is completed, client support is provided to ensure client satisfaction.
